Very good article and points. Same day delivery? How much? Most my customers Do NOT pay the same day charge. I would like to see someone that can offer 2-day, or 3-day delivery service 10-15% cheaper than UPS, USPS, Fedex.

Same-date delivery has become critical for customers. There are many occasions when they desperately rely on this service, having forgotten someone’s birthday or remembering Valentine’s Day at the last moment. People are willing to pay for the service. Yes, of course, it’s a complete nightmare for the logistics manager. If you have an ecommerce website, you don’t want to be the only one not offering this service, because you will quickly lose out to your competition. Choosing a strong logistics partner is critical to the success of your business.

I, too, think that same-day delivery is cool. I bet there is a lot of demand for it. I would love to be able to get same-day delivery with all of my online purchases. The reason I don’t do it is because it’s really expensive. Although, for important things, I’d pay for it.

I had no idea that there were services that do same day delivery. It’s cool to see that they are able to do things like this to help people get what they shipped in one day. I wonder how these services will change in the up coming years.
